Array Mathematics Python
Problem Statement :
Basic mathematical functions operate element-wise on arrays. They are available both as operator overloads and as functions in the NumPy module. import numpy a = numpy.array([1,2,3,4], float) b = numpy.array([5,6,7,8], float) print a + b #[ 6. 8. 10. 12.] print numpy.add(a, b) #[ 6. 8. 10. 12.] print a - b #[-4. -4. -4. -4.] print numpy.subtract(a, b) #[-4. -4. -4. -4.] print a * b #[ 5. 12. 21. 32.] print numpy.multiply(a, b) #[ 5. 12. 21. 32.] print a / b #[ 0.2 0.33333333 0.42857143 0.5 ] print numpy.divide(a, b) #[ 0.2 0.33333333 0.42857143 0.5 ] print a % b #[ 1. 2. 3. 4.] print numpy.mod(a, b) #[ 1. 2. 3. 4.] print a**b #[ 1.00000000e+00 6.40000000e+01 2.18700000e+03 6.55360000e+04] print numpy.power(a, b) #[ 1.00000000e+00 6.40000000e+01 2.18700000e+03 6.55360000e+04] Task: You are given two integer arrays, A and B of dimensions N X M. Your task is to perform the following operations: Add ( A+B ) Subtract ( A-B ) Multiply ( A*B ) Integer Division (A /B ) Mod (A %B ) Power ( A**B ) Note There is a method numpy.floor_divide() that works like numpy.divide() except it performs a floor division. Input Format: The first line contains two space separated integers, N and M. The next N lines contains M space separated integers of array A. The following N lines contains M space separated integers of array B. Output Format: Print the result of each operation in the given order under Task.
Solution :
Solution in C :
import numpy as np
n,m=map(int,input().split())
a=np.empty(shape=(n,m),dtype=int)
b=np.empty(shape=(n,m),dtype=int)
for i in range(n):
a[i]=input().split()
for i in range(n):
b[i]=input().split()
print(np.add(a,b))
print(np.subtract(a,b))
print(np.multiply(a,b))
print(a//b)
print(np.mod(a,b))
print(np.power(a,b))

The Strange Function
One of the most important skills a programmer needs to learn early on is the ability to pose a problem in an abstract way. This skill is important not just for researchers but also in applied fields like software engineering and web development. You are able to solve most of a problem, except for one last subproblem, which you have posed in an abstract way as follows: Given an array consisting

Treeland is a country with n cities and n - 1 roads. There is exactly one path between any two cities. The ruler of Treeland wants to implement a self-driving bus system and asks tree-loving Alex to plan the bus routes. Alex decides that each route must contain a subset of connected cities; a subset of cities is connected if the following two conditions are true: There is a path between ever

You are given an unrooted tree of n nodes numbered from 1 to n . Each node i has a color, ci. Let d( i , j ) be the number of different colors in the path between node i and node j. For each node i, calculate the value of sum, defined as follows: Your task is to print the value of sumi for each node 1 <= i <= n. Input Format The first line contains a single integer, n, denoti

Shashank loves trees and math. He has a rooted tree, T , consisting of N nodes uniquely labeled with integers in the inclusive range [1 , N ]. The node labeled as 1 is the root node of tree , and each node in is associated with some positive integer value (all values are initially ). Let's define Fk as the Kth Fibonacci number. Shashank wants to perform 22 types of operations over his tree, T

Given an array, we define its value to be the value obtained by following these instructions: Write down all pairs of numbers from this array. Compute the product of each pair. Find the sum of all the products. For example, for a given array, for a given array [7,2 ,-1 ,2 ] Note that ( 7 , 2 ) is listed twice, one for each occurrence of 2. Given an array of integers, find the largest v

White Falcon just solved the data structure problem below using heavy-light decomposition. Can you help her find a new solution that doesn't require implementing any fancy techniques? There are 2 types of query operations that can be performed on a tree: 1 u x: Assign x as the value of node u. 2 u v: Print the sum of the node values in the unique path from node u to node v.
